World Space week 4th to 10th October 2023
“The astronomy season kicked off with a Bang with the IoP event organised by the University of Surrey in Guildford High Street.
With plenty of stands from pop up planetariums to space art, GAS attended with our astrophotography, space games and quizzes and telescopes.
The event was incredibly busy showing that space enthusiasm is back after Covid stronger than ever with hundreds of attendees.
We spent time showing people what they could see through the telescopes, the moon, the sun and how to use a small telescope indoors as well as what can be achieved with a camera for imaging the sky.
It was a great day and we have some new space and astronomy enthusiasts in the fold.”
